Oh my, this was silly. All short stories and not a lot of forward momentum for the season eight storyline. I did enjoy the vampy cats - but this was beyond lightweight.

Definitely less cohesive than the others in the series, but most of the stories worked well as standalones. I found it confusing at times.

Hier stimmte irgendwie gar nichts. Die Geschichten hatten fast alle kein Ende, keine Auflösung, und dennoch waren sie plötzlich einfach so abgehakt? Und woher kommt plötzlich Simone?
Und was zum Teufel hat Joss Whedon nur damit, dass er ein paar Jägerinnen gleich als große, feministische Bedrohung inszenieren muss? (Besonders, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Jägerinnen ja IMMER noch Wächter haben, also weiterhin von Männern angeleitet werden und somit absolut nichts Feministisches beinhalten.)
Und warum muss auf jeder zweiten Seite mindestens eine sexuelle Anspielung sein? Klingt, als wäre das Buffyverse in Comic Form zu einer großen, männlichen Phantasie geworden.

I am loving Season 8...too bad we didn't get to see it produced, although it probably would not have been the same -- budget constraints and all. Still, the stories are up to the series. And I want a vampy cat...only not like in the book.

Despite more occurrences of casual monosexism and the fact that all the women seem to be drawn with the same "big boobs and super tiny waist" body type, I have to say I loved this volume because it was so funny! Andrew and Harmony being their ridiculous selves. Buffy's one liners! Vampy cat stuffed animals that attack! It was also great to get a little piece of so many characters in one volume.
