This book was very hard to finish. Not because it was bad, but it didn't keep my attention. I wasn't a huge fan of Carrigan in the last book, so reading her book was a bit boring. Unlike the last book, it wasn't as exciting .here was a lot of filler scenes that didn't add anything to the plot. This ruined the reading experience for me personally because I don't like a lot of unimportant scenes in the books I read.

The characters weew even wirse at cpturing my attention. I ended up not caring what happened to them by the 40 percent mark. I did enjoy the internal conflict of the love interest, but even that became a little overwhelming. Carrigan had no personality. It was easy to see why she was the chosen child to be married off for an alliance at first.
