Fun read

Loved the read. It was fast in some places and dreadfully slow in others. Maybe it's just me haha. Either way, good read.

My first Stephen King Book. I did find the pace a little slow at first, but once the plot began to unravel I couldn't stop reading!

It was better than the movie and I love the movie.

Dave read it last year and I after that I was convinced I needed to read it too.

Anyone who watched the movie and liked it.

Thoughts & Impressions
Again, it was better than the movie. I liked Wendy’s character a lot more than I did in the movie, or at least I understood her better. Definitely liked Danny better too. Jack scared me.

What I Liked About It
Nuance in the characters by reading first hand accounts. More detail about the hotel.

What I Didn’t Like About It
I didn’t like feeling Jack go mad.

How the Book Changed Me
I like the book better than the movie now.

Man, the final act really sealed the deal on this 5-star rating. I was terrified. It was awesome. Wanted to go to bed at midnight - was exhausted at midnight - and yet here I am writing this review at 2:34am. That tells you all you need to know about how hard it is to put it down.
