It boggles my mind that this sold so well. This is really entry level stuff. I guess high-school kids would benefit from reading this. The first few chapters was straight from the 40s. The rest of the book was a bit fresher, oozing with intense boomer energy. Read the copyright year, made sense.

fast read all wrapped up in 1 page. Give praise, make goals, redirect employees with compassion early so they learn to manage themselves.

The idea is good and I believe it will work well within management. It’s a very quick and easy read which is good as it is easy and accessible to all. The story within it is very simplistic but it does it’s job.

Good practical advice that I wish my managers over the years had read, but it does suffer from the typical downfalls of the genre Business Fiction, namely the fiction elements.
