Everyone at work was talking about it, and I had FOMO.
Team Manuscript all the way. The letter ending was just a bad plot twist, in my opinion.

Wow. Just wow. Loved this book. From the very beginning, I didn’t think I’d like this book. It seemed so over-hyped by social media. However, I totally understand the hype. I couldn’t stop myself from reading just “one more chapter”. I definitely plan to buy more books from the amazing Colleen Hoover. She is amazing at keeping the reader’s attention and wanting SO much more. *sigh* wow man. No other words can describe how mind boggling this book is.

I’m ngl, this book was a very slow start. It did take me a minute to get into the book but once Lowen found the manuscripts it was OVER. I was shook and read this book in literally a day and a half lol I wish Verity would’ve gotten a chance to explain herself more at the end but the letter i guess did it justice. Overall, it was a good read!

Content warning for child loss of two children, self-attempted abortion, cheating.

Going into this, I didn't know what to expect as I heard a lot of mixed opinions from the book community about it. But as I got into it - it was very disturbing in certain aspects of its content, especially if you're someone particularly sensitive to anything related to children. That's a huge part of the story that even I wasn't as prepared to see all that it went into.

Lowen intrigued me, her backstory of how she used to live with her mother and care for her now having to work as a co-author for someone else to ensure she can have a place to live. So her needing to go through these documents and boxes to find any plotting for the current novel that Verity left to keep in line with the other books in the series. And the unsurprising attraction between Lowen and Verity's husband Jeremy - kind of an expected trope to be found through their interactions. A disaster but an entertaining one.

There is a good bit of discussion of sexual activities and on-page content, and while I personally found it to work for the whole set-up, I don't recommend picking this up if you are not a person who wants to read smut-like passages every so many chapters.

I wouldn’t expected anything less then great from CoHo. Just like the rest of her books this one kept me hooked from the start. This book reminded me of her writing style for Too Late which was also on the darker side vs her normal romantic (happier) books. The ending of this book shook me and left me needing more.
