We go back in time for this Reacher book. We love MP Reacher - as a character it feels like a warm blanket, a comfort character. 

This feels the most Reacher like of the recent books but I didn't love the book itself. 

It's shorter than normal but I struggle to recall the detail of this book a few weeks after reading it.

Sadly bland. Main character is basic hero who can do anything and has incredible physique - at no point in the book do they mention the serious training he would need to do to maintain that physique thereby including unrealistic body images for people. Female characters had very little to them, multiple cried and one took the main character shopping. Was very underwhelmed overall and quite disappointed.
