I'm so bummed to give this one only 3.5 stars. There were a few parts that I really enjoyed, but some were just confusing and did not wow-ed me. I had so much hype for this book, so I can't help but be a little disappointed. I just hope that the next one will be much better

The Becoming of Noah Shaw wasn't exactly what I expected without being a total disappointment either.
It was a bit stranger to read from Noah's point of view and it too make so getting used to, but I eventually started enjoying it (I think I like his POV more than Mara's).
This first book is unfortunately mostly about setting the plot for the trilogy, so nothing of real interest happens. I really liked seeing the characters again though, and I realized that I missed them (even if I finished the Mara Dyer trilogy only three months ago).
Also, despite the fact that I really loved this book and the characters, I think I'm getting tired of gifted characters. It feels like every time a new character is introduced, he/she has to be gifted. Or characters we already know from the beginning turn out to have gifts too: Regular human beings are good too, just look at Daniel! He doesn't need any gift/power to be awesome!
Anyways, the cliffhanger at the end of the book killed me, and I need book 2 ASAP.

Good but the ending and flashbacks/memories are confusing to follow. I am still not 100% sure what the ending was. If someone wants to explain a bit, I'd be greatful.
