Took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out the format of the book. Then I enjoyed it; then I hated the ending.

For some reason I actually enjoyed this book. I'm not sure if it was the fact that half the book was written by David Levithan or that there was just a break from John Greene's overly mushy writing in every second chapter. It was unpredictable for me at least as I hadn't read the blurb before I started reading and couldn't tell whether the 'other Will Grayson' was John Greene's Will in the future or something. I read this book really quickly and found myself really getting emotional with both characters as I could relate to them. I liked how I got to experience Levithan's Will coming to terms with his sexuality as well as him dealing with depression and how the absence of his father affects his mother. I could also relate to Greene's Will as he struggles with determining whether he actually likes Jane or not or whether it's just because she is seemingly unattainable that he begins to really want her. It was also a nice change from The Abundance of Katherines and Looking for ALaska to not get the 'thing' that comes with this awkward guy (memorising last words, changing letters around). Both Levithan and Greene executed some really significant lines that really stood out and made me feel for the characters and also consider my own feelings about the world around me and my relationships. However, I did find some of the things said or thought by Levithan's Will really cheesy and the ending was borderline corny.
