I love John Green! It is quite obvious what chapters he wrote and many were laugh out loud funny. He is so nerdy, but he owns it. This is my first read by David Levithan and I will definitely check out more of his stuff.

*sigh* I'm really not sure what to say. I think I really liked this book. At first I was bothered that everything was coming together too nicely, but then I really got into it. John Green and David Levithan are really quite genius together. The feelings and want you have when you first realize you like someone was so apparent that it took me back to those feelings. It's really not like anything I've read in a while. It's about love, but also need and the love of need. You just have to read it.

i hate john green so much. he always follows the exact same trope of having quirky indie boy main characters and mentally ill teen girls who he describes in gross detail- not enough ab personalities and too much ab their bodies (keep in mind their minors). i liked the lowercase chapters but quirky neutral milk hotel guy made me want to slam my head into a locker.

Oh my god I LOVE THIS BOOK! I wasn’t sure what to expect because it is cowritten, but I am blown away. It was pretty different from other John green novels, but I think that’s why I loved it so much. The story was original and complex, the characters were very unique, and it just worked. Looking for Alaska is still my favorite John green novel, but this one is a pretty darn close second.

Easily the best book for queer young adults I've read. I would recommend this book to any straight or queer teen or adult, in lieu of reading Catcher in the Rye. The protagonists are far more likable and hopeful than Holden ever is.

Endlessly funny and honest in a way few books ever are.
hopeful lighthearted fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I think I would’ve rated this higher as a teen.

It was not very realistic and I did not understand the theme nor the storyline

This book is wonderful, charming, rude, hilarious, sweet and truthful. The characters are wonderful, funny, flawed and real. It is cleverly written, the alternating authors was refreshing and didn't bother me in the slightest. The book will have you laughing and singing along with everyone else. I highly reccomend it to all teenagers.
