This is the first in a new series and given the title Guthrie Brothers I am pretty sure whose book is next!
Jason is your typical bachelor - he has no time for entanglements, between helping out his brother (recently widowed while in the process of divorcing), his teenage nephew and pretty much fixing his entire hometown. But that was before he met his lovely new neighbour, Honor. Honor has just bought her first shiny new house... that is not so shiny and only really new to her!! She very reluctantly accepts her new neighbours help (but only after running over their garbage can)
As the story progresses you get to see why Honor has built walls around her heart to protect herself, but (luckily) we also get to see Jason over come these walls.
This was a charming read, and with a wide and diverse range of secondary characters it was more of an ensemble piece than normal with Honor's best friend and across the road neighbour also getting their own HEA. I can't wait to see how Foster handles all the problems that Hogan has in the next instalment.

4.5 Stars
I so loved this one. I enjoyed the main characters and the secondary characters. All I can say I want to move to that neighborhood with all that eye candy. My heart goes out to Honor she just doesn't know how to accept help and not know if they have ulterior motives or not. Lucky for her she moves next door to some hunky guys (with one who rarely wears a shirt) that there are good people out there. I enjoyed watching the relationships she makes with all of them. She has her friend Lexie, but not much else. Seeing her blossom through out this book was beautiful. Jason is just yummy and his protectiveness of Honor is just makes him great book boyfriend material. I also thought the story of Lexie and Sullivan was just as great. Sullivan is in for a surprise with Lexie because he's not going to know what hit him. This book sucked me in with it's delightful characters and kept me hooked with it's story line.

Sweet and predictable story. It hits the spot for that cheesy romance craving I've been having. Although, I'm glad this is just an ARC. There are significant typos and formatting errors that need correcting before the final publication.

Coffee dates with Don’t Tempt Me
- First Date: Don’t Tempt Me opens with Honor Brown driving a moving truck with her snarky BFF, Lexie Perkins. Honor has just purchased her first home, made possible by a program from the city to reinvigorate a neighborhood that has fallen into decline. Her new home was abandoned and is dire need of some TLC. As they pull up the truck, they glance at her neighbors’ home a well-maintained beauty with three Gods in the front yard and one of them is shirtless. Lexie cracks me up, as Honor hushes her and I found myself giggling and settling in. When they approach the truck, we learn they are BROTHERS! *happy dance* Jason Guthrie (shirtless hottie) is her new neighbor, his older brother is Hogan and Colt is his eighteen-year-old son. We quickly learn Honor is uncomfortable with help, as the men unload her truck. I am curious about the weight I can feel on Honor’s shoulders and loved the chemistry I felt brewing between Jason and Honor.
- Second date: Friends, neighbors, siblings and more make me feel a part of their group. I loved the up and coming community and lazy last-minute get-togethers. We meet Sullivan the neighbor across the street who didn't impress me at first- but wow. Nathan a neighbor down the street is a police officer and Violet the owner of the local eatery shares barbs with Hogan. All this gave the tale a hometown feel. I loved the interaction between them. Honor is very guarded, and keeping weird hours which concerns Jason. As the reader, we are privy to the nightmare that is her life but Jason and the others are left in the dark. Except Lexie whose lips are sealed. Foster did an excellent job of developing Honor. She felt genuine and her story only endeared me to her and showcased her strength. Jason was delightful and his patience with Honor, Colt and others made me swoon. The romance has them slow dancing as he takes two steps forward and she nervously takes three steps back, but Honor is brave, sweet and certainly worth the effort.
- Third date: Foster shared several threads from Honor’s problems to local robberies which kept me flipping the pages. We get to know Lexie on a more personal level as she and Sullivan share sparks. Sullivan really surprised me and I hope he melts your heart too. Heat, banter, time with friends, and a little danger kept me up past my bedtime. Foster made me laugh, wipe a tear and even added an adorable dog to the mix. From the home improvement projects to the secondary characters story, I found myself wanting to move to this street and help revamp the neighborhood. I can already see myself sharing coffee on the porch with my new neighbors.

As the first book by Lori Foster that I have ever read, the synopsis of this one had me really intrigued. What I really enjoyed about this book is that you get to see two couples relationships develop through out. However I was draw to Lexie and Sullivan’s more than Jason and Honor’s. I felt their banter was more interesting and fun.
The backstory that Honor carries is utterly tragic and I cannot blame her at times for being a person that does not trust easily. There were moments though that her adamant refusal for help and such really grated my nerves and I had a really hard time connecting with her. I wanted to smack her through the pages to tell her to open her eyes.. Not everyone is like your family. Jason is a stunning man. Patient. Kind. Caring and above all romantic. I adored him wanting to keep at Honor to get her to open up. The last third of the book is where I really got to enjoy Honor as she was still guarded but was open a bit more to the people that just wanted to be there for her.
Lexie is a firecracker and a half and watching her go after Sullivan was priceless. There were times I wanted to whack Sullivan too for thinking some things about Lexie but in the long run these two were amazing together and I really enjoy their commitment to one another.
All the side characters in this story give it a great depth of what being a family is and being open to trusting someone regardless of one’s past. I am looking forward to reading about the rest of this gang.

Don’t Tempt Me was such a fun read and it told from multiple points of view. Don’t Tempt Me follows the story of 2 couples, Jason & Honor and Sullivan & Lexie. Honor is new in town and has a strong desire to stay independent. It’s hard for to accept and take help from others; especially without giving them anything in return. Honor is not at all prepared for her new neighbors. Not only is Jason the full package, but he’s good with his hands and isn’t afraid to lend a helping hand….When Jason meets his new neighbor Honor, he just knows that she’s going to be trouble. But, even knowing that, he can’t make himself stay away. Honor has secrets, and he desperately wants to break down her walls and show her some happiness…Sullivan is also one of Honor’s neighbors. From the moment Lexie sets eyes on him, she is determined to make him hers. However, Lexie isn’t like the girls Sullivan is used to and he’s not sure he can keep up with a woman like Lexie. Only time will tell if these two couples will get the HEA, they so desperately want and deserve.
Overall, I really enjoyed Don’t Tempt Me. I loved the story-line. I liked how well it flowed and how well the multiple points of view worked. Sometimes, when I get more than two points of view, I get distracted or lose interest. However that was not the case with this book. I was pulled in from the very beginning and found myself devouring this book in just half of a day. I fell in love with the characters almost immediately and was dying to know what Honor’s secret was. Lexie was an amazing best friend. She was like a sister to Honor and definitely someone you could count on. I loved seeing Lexie with Sullivan because I think they both challenged one another and made them want to try something different. And of course I can’t forget about Jason. Jason is the whole package. Sexy. Smart. Alpha. Protective. Just an overall good guy. He knows what he wants and isn’t afraid of going after it. He was a good match for Honor because he opened up her eyes and made her see the things that she was missing. He showed her that she could still be independent, but also have someone in her corner.
Don’t Tempt Me is a quick and easy read. This book had a great mix of steam and romance. There was some angst, but not too much. There were a couple of good twists thrown in, as well as frustrating moments. That made me love all the friendships and swoon-worthy moments that much more. And I just loved the finding love in the most unexpected place, vibe that I got from it. I think that the Guthrie Brothers Series is off to a really great start and I’m looking forward to seeing where this series will go next.

Lori Foster has done a good job world building in this new series. Jason Guthrie and Honor Brown are the main focus in this book. Honor's world is collapse as her grandfather is dying of dementia and he is her stable family member. Jason doesn't think the new neighbor Honor is making the best decision being all alone in her house. Sparks fly, Guthrie family is hotties (brothers and son), lots of intrigue and secrets. Sullivan and Lexie are the secondary couple who we (the reader) get to see thier romance unfold. I wish we got to see more of it.
The start of another great series for Lori Foster. Can't wait for the rest of the series.
We meet Honor as she moves into a new neighborhood. The house needs a lot of work, work that she is determined to do on her own. Her new neighbor wants to help thinking she can't but she wants to prove him wrong.
Jason is intrigued by the new neighbor. He decides to keep an eye on her as she looks like the world is against her.
As family issues, burglary, and new friendships evolve, they find that they can help each other. Alpha males in their prime, a hero that doesn't like shirts, and a dog that wants to protect leads to a great story.
