God, I was so proud of Raisa for running away from her crazy ass mom and Micah's crazy ass family. Crazy people should not be married at all.

She's a queen and continues to slay in my book. I just fell in love with her character from the first book and I don't think she could do anything that would break my heart. I was also continuously rooting/shipping for her and Hans as well.

I WAS SO FUCKING HAPPY THAT THEY WERE TOGETHER SO MUCH MORE IN THIS BOOK. I was probably jumping up and down a whole bunch when I read about it - because they are completely awesome and perfect for each other and I just want them to have B-E-A-UTIFUL babies together. RIGHT NOW.

But then the ending definitely shat on me and my happiness and now I'm just patiently waiting to have the next book within my reach. I just can't accept that kind of ending at all. I need more. I want more. I want them together. PLEASE GIVE ME MORE HANS AND RAISA!! PLEASE!

I enjoyed this book! Only downside is the characters were in more adult situations. Still very tame but now id recommend for 16+

Much slower than book one and I really wasn't fond of Raisa in this one at all. Her nearing on non-con pressuring of Amon to be physical with her was so gross. And she makes a lot of dumb decisions that I wanted to throttle her for.

Han and Dancer were both still highlights for me, although I wanted to throttle Han for half his decisions too. With all the crap they dug themselves into in this one, book three should be interesting at least.

I didn't enjoy The Exiled Queen as well as I enjoyed The Demon King. This book felt slower and I was slightly bored at times. Also, I hate it when smart characters make stupid decisions or just miss something really obvious and that happened a few times.
SpoilerI didn't get what kept drawing Hans back to Crow and I was baffled how he wasn't more concerned and suspicious about his memory lapses. I know if I couldn't remember even an hour of my life, I would be panicking and doing some serious investigating.

Despite some slow parts, I still really enjoyed The Exiled Queen. Chima knows how to write a story and create a compelling world and interesting characters. The ending had my heart pumping and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Slow for the first 100 pages, very good after that.

I really like these books, but I think I don't enjoy them as much as I would do if I had the time to really do it. I am excited to read the next one, because I love the characters and the plot. I have no complains at all. Well, maybe that I was expecting more action (same with the first one)But that's a minor detail. Thanks God I could finally finish it, because it took me a while. Now I'm gonna read the rest of this series. It's really good.

I feel that the characters were easier to follow in this book than the first. It’s a bit more clear what is going on and why.

Great series!

Just as good the second time around. This is as far as I got last time and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. Tight plot, sympathetic characters, political and academic intrigue, and lots of action.
