the one star is for naming the Troll-God of Eating 'Gnomb"
otherwise this continued to suck. also, in a compeltely unpredictable move, the main character, a knight who raised and educated the princess, married her. but it's fine! because SHE pursued HIM

Everything up until now has merely been a preamble. Now as we enter the final part of Elenium, Sparhawk and his companions must overcome enemies and self doubts as they strive to complete the final part of their quest.
Unfortunately, as with all great quests there is tragedy aplenty and not everyone will see the completion of the quest.
For me this is the best part of the trilogy, as it equals the proceeding books for humour and adventure, yet it surpasses them in the tragedy stakes.
a gripping end to a gripping adventure.

What the fuck did Eddings have against intermarriage between races?? Why does this book seem to come out as pro-slavery? Also - Danae is a pretty sodding creepy story line.
