I actually never read this as a child, but I was a houseguest of a friend who has a 4 year old, and the anniversary edition was on the coffee table. It's a great little book.

It’s kind of pretty - but what an appealing story of martyrdom and not-love. I’d hate to think a child would think this is a good story.

Fantastic book for kids! So imaginative and creative. Easy read that children will find delightful!

Shel Silverstein is always brilliant! His rhymes are fun and entertaining! Some of my all time favorites!! Such a great way to entertain children and get them interested in reading!
