Tayari Jones does an amazing job bringing characters to life. I can't believe this audio novella was just an hour long. It contained entire lives

The author has a beautiful way of writing but I think I missed the point behind this story. I know it's about family bonds and all that but it didn't really made me feel what I was supposed to on an emotional level unlike other works of hers. A bit disappointing read

Short but interesting story about twins and their different views and path of life. Even though this book talks a lot about 'twin telepathy', they also talk about how sisters support each other in a time of need.
Enjoyable, and has some great funny moments and centalizes around the theme of marriage, mothering and sisterhood.

This is a short story that explores the bond between twin sisters, Amelia and Camelia, who have the same face, but are very different and have followed different paths. The sisters explore the bonds of family and found family that tie them together when they go on an adventure to retrieve a family heirloom from Amelia’s ex. This was a quick fun listen, but would have loved to spend more time with these sisters in a longer format to really explore the bonds they share.

Overall, a great for a long walk or car ride that explores the bonds of sisterhood.

I thought this was a good book. My favorite thing about Tayari's books is how she features the city of Atlanta.
