If you wanted to read this, why not turn on the TV and zombify yourself instead?
This book was funny. Unfortunately, Tucker and his friends are the douchebags of life I tend to avoid. The fact that women exist like the ones in this book makes me sad, but I feel that reading this can be empowering or eye opening for women. if you can remotely relate to any of the women in this book, you are probably a slut. if you can't, then you can immediately feel good about your self esteem and your standards.
I thought SlingBlade was the best "character" and I loved his sense of humor.
Even though this book made me laugh, I can't recommend it to others because I don't like to support idiots, especially idiots who somehow publish books.

I'm embarrassed to admit I read this. But I did, as a teenager. I liked it when I read it, but mostly because it felt like I was getting away with something. I also remember feeling really bad about myself afterwards. Do not recommend to anyone, and especially not for teenage girls.
Just came here to say that I can’t believe I read this for fun in college
I gave this a two star instead of one because at least it's easy for it to keep your attention. That's not to say that it's entertaining, it just doesn't feel like a chore to get through.
The majority of the stories in this book are not what I would imagine as "print worthy". You could hear stories such as these from many many people, apparently the only thing that makes his stories special is that he puts them in print. While there were a few entertaining bits, the majority of stories seemed to follow a basic pattern:
1. Tucker and friends get drunk.
2. Tucker/friends insult some people, possible vandalism occurs.
3. He has sex with a random girl.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 until book length is achieved.
I'm not criticizing his character, but I am criticizing the value or worthwhileness of his stories. They just don't feel like they're worth reading. His stories feel like a Bukowski novel, some guy goes around drinking and having sex for a while, the end. There's nothing more to it than that, it feels like it occupies your attention but does nothing above that, like bubblegum for the brain. This book achieves the bare minimum of what recreational reading should do: kill time.

I don't mind stories about sex, drinking, and having a good time. If anything, I encourage it. But this book has no redeeming qualities.
So I' just going to break this down;
If you're a white male that loves to sleep around, drink every day, and bang "sluts" (but completely dismiss the double standards), then you'll love this book. If you're a girl that doesn't mind "making her boyfriend a sandwich" and think that "girls are so catty, I 'd rather hang out with guys" then you will love this book.
This book is just another example of a white guy getting away with everything.

Ladies, let me give you some advice. You can throw all your stupid fucking chick-lit, self-help, why-doesn't-he-love-me books out, because this is all you need to know: Men will treat you the way you let them. There is no such thing as "deserving" respect; you get what you demand from people.. if you demand respect, he will either respect you or he won't associate with you. It really is that simple.----this quote .....this quote here ....why would you ever think a woman would take any advise from a man like you...some who degrades women in his books and who's friends think he's the king of getting laid... the fact that a woman told me this book is hilarious just baffles me.. WHY..
Well that was....something.
I knew what I was going to be reading when I decided to pick it up, and I also knew that people like Tucker Max exist, but I am shocked at how proud he is of his degeneracy and how far into adulthood he took it. Or is still taking it. I hope for his sake he's calmed down, but he probably hasn't.
I will read an extreme or shocking book from time to time, just to mix things up when I'm feeling a little too comfortable in my own skin. I can't say that this read was all that shocking, but he was pretty extreme. At least when it came to drinking or debasing women.
It did get a little monotonous after some time. It was basically the same story over and over again. "I got really drunk, I am super funny, I had sex with a random girl, pissed her off and/or got in a lot of trouble."

But there were a couple of stand out stories that made me actually laugh out loud. The best story of the whole book was him running across a hotel lobby and losing the battle of holding back the angry effects of copious amounts of alcohol and an unusable hotel room toilet. Nothing like the complete embarrassment and permanent ban from all of Embassy Suites for the rest of time to give me a good chuckle.
Other than that it was pretty rinse, lather, repeat for the stories. Frat boy lifestyle, drinking until getting sick, friends hyping up just how hilarious and amazing he is, hooking up with as many random chicks as possible while demeaning and offending them....it was about what I expected.
Writing was ok, stories were ok unless you're really into juvenile bathroom humor and objectifying women..... so overall it was ok. Obviously don't think too hard into it because there's nothing to get there.
