For the life of me, I can't remember how I came across this book, or why I thought it might be something I might enjoy.
I love the title, and I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the content based on the title, but I also shouldn't have been bored by what I read. So bored, in fact, that I abandoned it about a third of the way through. There was nothing in here that was so funny (or even that unusual) that I just had to keep reading to see what Tucker would do next.
I was hoping for something more like David Sedaris, and instead got the misadventures of a self-important, overprivileged frat boy. Tip: if you constantly have to tell people how funny you are, chances are you're not that funny. He reminds me of That Guy (everybody knows one) who thinks he's just SO funny that all the guys want to hang with him and SUCH a player that all the Hot Chicks want to have sex with him, but he's SO good looking and has SUCH a buttload of money that he can get away with it, but everybody really thinks he's just a big jackass.
I don't know, maybe if I was a high school or college guy, I'd think this guy was a legend. Nah, probably not.

Yeah reading 70% of this disgusting person's exploits is enough to say I finished the book.
I didn't necessarily like the context of the book, but his word choice is hilarious.
Ok...so I had seen this book @ B&N and the title caught my attention...shortly after that I knew a few people that were reading it and figured that maybe I would pick it up. My sister told me flat out that the stories are absolutely horrible and that I didnt want to read it...I picked it up anyway and she was right...If the stories are in fact true then yes Tucker Max is a complete asshole...(which he does give forewarning to on the back)...however, I have to admit that even though they were bad and he has treated women horribly...they were also entertaining...some of them made me laugh while some of them made me want to throw up...
I definitely shouldn't like this book, but I really do. It's misogynistic and vain, but somehow manages to be hilarious in the process.
I'm not sure if I would like it so much if it weren't for Slingblade. Although he only makes an appearance in a few stories, I somehow feel that Tucker could not be all bad if he has a friend like Slingblade.
But no, he is all bad. To add insult to injury, he is not even that attractive--yet he judges women based almost entirely on their appearance. As though he has room to judge.

Awful, but I should have expected this. I don't know why Amazon recommended that I'd like it. Single worst book that I bough in the 2000s.
I love this guy. He's like the male Chelsea Handler. It's full of funny and fresh essays.
Tucker Max once was The Enemy, the chauvinist every lady loves to hate. Then I read his book and laughed until I had to take a break to keep from crying. Max is a drunk, and he's a damned hilarious one at that. Besides, these aren't my chick friends he's treating like whores; they're the girls who deserve their nights in Hell, and good for him doing--and writing--it well.
I laughed out loud numerous times while reading this on my bus ride home. Great beach book. Terrible, terrible things he does; but also terribly funny. Not for my parents.
