This book is great. It has some wonderful wordplay and the humor is very subtle and enjoyable. I love it as an adult; as a book for kids, it is a little rocky at first. My daughters (2 and 4) didn't like it until they were well into the book, then, on the last day we read, they didn't want me to stop. So the first half took about two months to get through, and the last half less than two hours.

Pooh is the silliest little guy ever

I think I missed my opportunity to read this as a kid and didn't enjoy it as much as an adult. Some of the chapters were entertaining, but I might just prefer the Disney Pooh

I've listened to the audiobook with Dame Judi Dench, and I have to say that it surprised me favourably. I'm not much of a fan of audiobooks, but this one was so lively that it made me feel like I was watching a movie. The different voices for the characters, the music and the sound effects create a beautiful atmosphere of fantasy that transport you to the Hundred Acre Wood where the most beloved silly old bear lives.
