The blurb:
Mia and Ed have been best friends ever since they began teaching at the same school. Ed bakes cake for the staff, Mia eats the cakes. Ed can’t control his students, Mia sorts them out. Mia’s love life might be chaotic but she’s totally devoted to her super-tidy, cat-owning, geeky but not bad-looking best friend. So, when Mia discovers Ed is still a virgin at twenty-eight, she decides to take matters into her own hands and teach him the skills he needs to seduce the pretty new maths teacher, Caitlin.
It’s an education that involves panic-buying sex toys and buddy-watching porn, and when Ed graduates with an A+ for effort – and begins dating the perfect-on-paper Caitlin – Mia knows her work is done.
But is Caitlin as sweet as she seems? And could Mia’s feelings for Ed be stronger than she realised?
My thoughts:
This was such a lovely but hilarious read. Mia was great fun. I loved how Ed and Mia were so very different, but how great their friendship was.
This was such an easy read- lighthearted where needed and then packed with humour. Another book from Kristen Bailey that I loved!

Free-spirited, sex-positive chick wants to help her tightly-wound virgin friend, Ed (get it!?), get laid. Yes, I read it based on the premise alone. And the fact that it was brought to me by NetGalley.
It was a bit clinical in parts but pretty good, not great. I found it amusing AF. Funny and British and Britishly funny. The com worked, the rom didn’t. I totally bought the couple as friends but didn’t really feel anything romantic between them.

Rounding my 3.75 rating to a 4 stars.
This was my first Kristen Bailey book, and I must say I will be looking to read more. Overall the quirky/witty banter, the sweet and tender moments, sex-positive, and the genuine friendship between the two Main characters was amazing. I loved the growth in the side character relationships as well (maybe setting up for another book?).
There were moments in the book I felt there could be a little more information or depth to the moment/scene. The epilogue was nice, as the book seemed to end in a rush, however the mention of them being married came out of no where.
The narrator was good overall. I had to listen carefully - especially in early chapters - to know which POV I was in, however they did a great job throughout.
Favorite Quote from the book: "Sometimes you need to be watered to feel the sunshine of someone's words. To grow. To stand tall. To bloom."
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher who provided me with a copy of this audiobook. In exchange I am giving an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

Good comedy in the first half. Utterly predictable and boring second half
Sure, the title and the premise are provocative, and there are pretty ranchy bits (although a lot of those come across as much instructional as steamy), but I really enjoyed the really sweet love story at the center.

If you’re in the mood for a feel-good romance with heart, humor, and a touch of awkward charm, Sex Ed by Kristen Bailey is a must-read! This book gave me all the laughs, all the feels, and a whole lot of swoony moments.
The story centers on Ed and Mia, best friends who couldn’t be more different. Ed is quiet, awkward, and unlucky in love, while Mia is bold, messy, and unapologetically herself. When Ed confesses (after one too many drinks) that he’s a virgin, Mia steps up to “teach” him the ropes. What starts as a hilarious arrangement turns into a sweet, sexy, and heartfelt romance that had me grinning from ear to ear.
Ed and Mia’s journey from best friends to something more is full of humor, heart, and a dash of chaos. Their growth as individuals and as a couple is beautifully done, making this story romantic and deeply satisfying.
💫 Why I Loved It:
- Ed & Mia’s Chemistry: Opposites definitely attract! Their dynamic is fun, chaotic, and so endearing.
- The Banter: Quick, witty, and downright hilarious at times. Their playful teasing had me laughing out loud!
- Sex Positivity: The book handles the topic of sex in a natural, honest, and unapologetic way, making it both relatable and refreshing.
- Playful & Awkward Moments: The sex scenes were far from perfect—and that’s what made them so lovable. It’s real, it’s funny, and it’s brimming with charm.
- Feel-Good Vibes: If you’re looking for a book that will lift your spirits and make you laugh, this one is a winner!
If you love opposites-attract romances with humor and a side of heartfelt moments, Sex Ed should definitely be on your radar.
