Quite good. From the first chapter, I expected it to be a story about a woman who struggles with sexism while trying to become a wizard, and I was more than happy to listen to that story. Onna's tale was only part of the whole, tho, which was engaging and creative. Excellent world-building, fabulous characters, (sadly) realistic social problems and prejudices. Also, a creative form of magic. Not a page-turner but never boring. Would certainly recommend!

This started off strong and kept me curious and engaged but as the book went on I couldn’t help but to continue to be like.. that’s it? The characters are fun and engaging with faced paced fun dialogue. The romance plot line felt really contrived and I wish it had been done differently. In terms of the murders that felt pretty obvious too. Totally medium.
