This is a wonderful mystery filled with funny and heartwarming characters.

For those of you who like audiobooks, I would recommend enjoying this novel through that medium. Caroline Lee does an amazing performance. I got emotional at times, especially towards the end.

It's weird to say that a murder mystery with undertones of rape and domestic violence was funny but this was. There were moments that the portrayal of school mom politics was so right on that it was slightly uncomfortable. I don't think I've ever read a mystery that was written in a way that not only do you not find out who did it until the end...you also don't know who they did it to (other than the fact that it happened at an alcohol fueled trivia night). I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to all my teacher friends =).

I was skeptical of this book at the beginning - it’s just not the type I usually read. But I figured I would give it a go!

I found this whole book to be incredibly sad. I didn’t laugh or giggle at any of the “funny” lines by characters. It deals with some heavy subject matter.

But I do think that Moriarty does an excellent job of keeping readers reading! She’s great at creating questions as you go along. Thankfully, she ties everything up by the end! She is great at capturing how people will view the same situation in different ways.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! It was very thought-provoking for me.
