Same review as for The Guilty. Thought I would absolutely continue this series! I wish they were all read by the full cast. 5 star performance for the actors. Listening to the audio drama was very enjoyable.
But ultimately, 3 stars overall. I enjoyed it, and now I'll move on. Very on par with James Patterson for me. I know that I can pick up any of his books (or apparently audio dramas) and have a good time. But I will forget everything nearly immediately.

The voice acting and soundscape are absolutely amazing. To bad I hate everything else about this thing. It reads like a shitty 90's cop drama that I've watched hundreds of time. There were so many little moments that just pissed me off as well. Being judgmental of video games every steps of the way, selling things that aren't yours because you don't know how bitcoin works, only one IT guy that is your on call person, pulling in random citizens to help with investigations, covering for a partner that was a piece of shit on every level. Just... fuck everything about this.
This was a great audiobook with a full cast providing the voices!! Does anyone know if they’re actually making this into a tv show? I would totally watch it if they are.

Good narration by Aaron Paul and crew. Pretty standard crime thriller.
That was such a fun audible original. Great way to end the week
Great entertaining dramatization for a few hours. It's definitely short but it was done really well. I liked the story enough but the actors doing the voices were just amazing. Even the sounds and music were done very well. I often found myself falling into that feeling that there was actually a TV show going on in the background that I was listening to but simply wasn't watching.
Quick listen - included in the AudiblePlus catalog, so a "free" listen with my annual membership. I haven't listened to many AudibleOriginals - productions that are ONLY audio, never written for print. This was a complete dramatization, with a full cast and sound effects, so it was more like listening to a TV crime drama without anything visual.
Set up in eight parts, with a musical intro before each, which I found annoying. I recognized many of the voices ... I thought they all did a good job. Of course I am familiar with Aaron Paul, and I like him and think he's a good actor. There were a few times here though, that it felt like he was "reading" a script rather than really performing, like maybe he hadn't fully prepped and at parts was reading cold.
As for the story, it was okay. Some parts felt over the top, a tad eye-rolling. I think I am a little more accepting of crime/drama in a tv/movie for some reason. Maybe because I imagine more in a book reading, maybe think about things more and then go "um really?" whereas with a screen production I just go with it (usually).
So - it was okay. It was free. It's done ;)

This was good to have playing in the background while I did other things. It was entertaining but pretty predictable and cheesy.
