This book is a must read for Parents in this day and age! This books is from a secular standpoint— not Christian perspective, and is based on neuroscience, facts, and physiology to show how detrimental porn really is for your brain. There are physical and psychological ramifications, more than I ever knew! Eye opening for sure. Protect those babies!! And yourselves if it pertains to you.

Okay, what to say about this book? It was informative and had a lot of examples from people who experienced certain sexual complications that involved porn. It was interesting to read, what's there more to say

I found this book to be incredibly helpful for quitting porn. Chapter 3 especially is jam-packed with lots of information on how the brain works, how others have responded to quitting, and really walks you through the ways in which addictions form and how to escape it.
That said, I found Chapter 2 to be pretty slow and boring. It delves into the medical research that has been conducted on internet addiction in general with research that sounds vaguely relevant, and hard to believe. In Chapter 2, I also began to realize this book repeats a lot of its points. Sure, they're helpful points to be repeated, but it makes you check out from the book a bit when it seems as though the same points are being introduced over and over again as if it's new information.
Finally, I didn't like how this book was formatted. The most likely scenario for someone reading this book is they feel as though their life is falling apart due to porn and are seeking advice to quit. Although it's encouraging to read accounts of how people's lives have improved from quitting, it took me 13 days of light reading to finish this book, and most of the advice is in the last chapter. I believe most people read this book to quit porn as soon as possible, but they have to read 2/3 of the book to actually get to the advice, with redundant other points being made along the way.
Even with these setbacks however, the advice and information this book has provided has really broadened my understanding of the human brain, why porn is so harmful, and exactly what we are trying to accomplish by quitting. For that, I am very thankful.
