Bastien was a great MMC that everyone who are fans of Xaden and Fisher will love.
Kat was a fierce FMC who felt relatable as she masked her trauma in order to save her home.
It was super fun and full of mystery right until the end.

Gah this book was so unsatisfying.
It could have been SO amazing, it had really good bones but I just felt like it let me down.
Example one: FMC told she has to 'get rid of someone' and she decides not to unalive them but to just 'gossip' them out of their position...and then does NOTHING!
NO-THING! NO PLAN. NO WAY TO SAVE THEM. ANDTHEY DIE SO WHAT WAS THE POINT.
I did not relate to the FMC she just winged about anything and there was no action. Omg she is the EXACT opposite of Aelin hahahaha both making bad decisions but at least one of them was actually MAKING decisions and trying to do the right thing.
Personally feel like this book should have been from the perspective of Ella.
Also I'm getting reaaallll sick of people falling live in like 24 hours. What did Basian even like about her? It was never explained.
Anyways. Not a vibe won't be reading the next one so disappointed.
