Excellent ending to this great duology. A lot happens in this book. Ziva continues to grow and come into her strengths more, and I love her balance of quiet, kind heart with fierce and protective warrior, and both of these shine through in the story. There is also a lot more romance and kissing for anyone who is hoping, as well as a lot more fighting as our ragtag group of friends finds themselves in the middle of an unexpected war. All in all it was a satisfying conclusion and I continued to be in love with these characters the entire time.

The Blacksmith Duology by Tricia Levenseller

This delightful series offers a refreshing take on a FMC who is shy, collected, and struggles with anxiety.

Ziva's journey unfolds within the comforting confines of her forge, where she wields her magical gift to create uniquely powerful weapons.
Her introversion and anxiety are portrayed with such authenticity that readers who share these traits will find themselves resonating with her character.

However, Ziva is soon swept up into an adventure with her sister and two strangers who quickly become friends, offering a beautiful story of sisterhood, friendship and loyalty.

Ziva struggles with the idea of love, her anxiety often causing her to doubt her feelings and fear being vulnerable. She's hesitant to take the next step, wary of opening up and getting hurt, especially since she and her sister must keep an important secret and stay focused on their mission.
Amidst all the chaos, a romance between Ziva and Kellyn continues to blossom as they navigate their differences.
They want different things out of life, yet they manage to find a compromise and envision a happy future together.
What's most beautiful is how they support each other's dreams without requiring either to change, allowing them to truly be themselves with one another.

As someone who understands anxiety, I love how no one in Ziva's circle pressures her to change.
They accept her as she is, supporting her and standing by her side when things get tough.
Ziva's journey is all about finding the courage to be herself, and when she does something unexpected, it's out of her own strength and growth.
That's the most beautiful message of all from this book.

Tricia Levenseller has once again proven herself as one of my favorite authors!

Somehow read the entire book in a single evening. I picked it up and didn't want to put it down. Very cute and a lovely end to the duology!

I enjoyed this duology, but the ending was a little unsatisfying. Yes, it was a happy ending, but there was something off about it in my opinion. I did enjoy the mental health representation though :)
