Not bad. Not great.

Not a bad read. Somewhat formulaic. You can spot Sparks' writing a mile away. Semi predictable but a good time passer.

It was not one of Nickolas Sparks usual books. it was a great book and for once I didn't feel depressed after reading one of his books. However, it does make you stop and think.

As always, Nicholas Sparks delivers a true love story. A bit on the unbelievable side, but a nice quick read. And I like to read the book before I see the movie.

I loved this book. I laughed, I cried, I smiled uncontrollably. Full of anticipation... Hard to put down. Loved it!

This book was recommended to me, and I've found that I've avoided Nicholas Sparks for a reason. I know other people LOVE his writing, but it seemed cliched, predictable, fluffy, gooey, etc. I think I must have missed the boat; no more Sparks for me.

As with all Nicolas Sparks books, I was hooked in a "girlie chick lit" kinda way. It wasn't one of his best books, but I couldn't stop reading it.

Another good love story by Nicholas Sparks, although I was worried I wouldn't like the end about halfway through.

I read this book in two days after watching the 2016 movie version first. I have to say, I ADORE this movie and it caused me to sob uncontrollably for like forty-five minutes while watching. The book... Was good. But not a 5 star read for me. I don't typically read insta-love books and this one definitely qualified as that trope. It was hard for me to feel their romance the way the movie did. I also loved the changes they made to the movie version compared to the book. However, the second half of this book is gut-wrenchingly sad. Sparks really had me feeling max emotion, grief, and empathy for Travis in the second half and his emotional journey was beautifully written. For the second half alone, I would consider this 5 stars, but I knocked off a star for the first half. While cute, it didn't grab me by the throat the way the movie did.
