Oh my goodness this was hilarious! I am normally avoiding anything zombie since Corona started (my headspace is just not right for it) but I couldn't resist this one. And I am glad I read it as it was just fantastic. Yes, there are zombies, yes, there are scary moments, but there are also so many hilarious things happening that the zombies didn't bother me at all. Our MC, finally free of a black company, decides to make a bucket list with 100 things he wants to do now that he is free of his work. Things include like drinking beer to cleaning his house, but also meeting his parents and friends. He is carefree and tries to make the best of these horrible things happening outside. I also like the girl he met up in the convenience store, and his best friend his such a weirdo. :P The art is also pretty nicely done. I will definitely keep on reading.

I do like the concept of this story. Its basically about a bunch of people (especially the protagonist) who've wasted their lives in careers and such that are meaningless to them finally being able to explore their dreams and wishes once the apocalypse starts. The problem I have is the characters feel very very shallow and the way the story treats women is kinda weird. Like, there's a lot of female zombies with clothes torn off and most of the female characters are just eye candy or love interests for the men without a ton of depth. Its not my favorite.

a goofy, playful take on the zombie apocalypse theme wherein a young man in a new white-collar career finally finds some respite from his grueling daily work schedule when corporate society is brought down by the zombie hoard and the worker uses his newfound free time to pursue his personal bucket list. Thin on plot, but that's kind of the point. Nice art style. Plenty of violence and body horror typical to zombie gore. Enough gratuitous sexualization of the two female characters to be obnoxious or offputting to readers sensitive to misogyny and sexism.

Zom 100 is such a departure from Haro Aso’s Alice in Borderland, in both content and style, but I don’t mind that. This was a fun, fast-paced read with interesting reflections on the crunch of corporate life. I’ll definitely be continuing this series and my only complaint is too many tiddy shots 🙄
