I really need to read more of Shirley Jackson's short fiction! Her ability to create tension in her writing is phenomenal, I thought in a shorter format it wouldn't be as effective, but I was happily wrong!

But like a whiny baby I say "MORE GIVE ME MORE!!!!!!" If only this story could have been longer, but that would probably defeat the point. So I'll move on to a few more short stories going forward.

Recreating perfectly Jackson’s “The Haunting of Hill House” pace,
this is an anxiously developed, detailed journey to an ambiguous open ending story.

Nonetheless, both the dialogues and the descriptions manage to capture the reader into the story completely.
