love this band of Misfits

The story is excellent! Full of angst, a little bit of taboo (helloooo Lawson

This isn’t a great book, but I had a good time nonetheless!

I didn’t know about the multiple POVs going in to it. I didn’t like it at first and almost DNF’d. I wouldn’t say I grew to like it….but I got used to it. I felt like there were too many POVs and too many different storylines. However, on the other hand, it was giving Gossip Girl vibes. It could have been done better overall.

The romance between RJ and Sloane was okay, but the real relationship was between RJ and Fenn. I wasn’t that invested in the romance between RJ and Sloane, but RJ and Fenn’s growing friendship as new step-brothers was really great. They kept me reading and invested in the story.

I truly enjoyed this book. Elle Kennedy the one liners and comedy in this book was 10/10.

Sloane you are a women after my own heart! She is the first FMC in awhile that I have connected deeply with. At first glance I was hesitant but girl I so get it.

Fenn & RJ the bro-ship is real and I am always shipping it! Lawson just keep being you. As for Silas the verdict is still out!

If you are looking for a fast read of a book with humor and some mystery to it this is a great book to add to your TBR!

First Garrett, Logan, Dean, and Tucker. Then Hollis, Jake, Hunter, and Conor. Earlier this year Cooper and now RJ, Fenn, and Lawson? She needs to stop writing amazing men if they won’t act like that in real life. While RJ, Fenn and Lawson have some rough edges I still like them. Small criminal streak? Sign me up I’ve read the Devils Night Series.
The banter in Elle Kennedy’s books always gets me. I’m very pissed where it let off because I’m not used to her leaving me on a shocking note besides during The Score when Tucker announced something that I won’t be sharing for spoilers.
Anyways this book has multiple povs. I think five in total but the main two were Sloane and RJ. Speaking of them, they both were funny and I think it’s from childhood trauma. That’s the best kind of humor if you ask me though.

I liked this book, it gave Netflix series vibes. it was like reading a show. I can see how people would get confused about the multiple POVs but I kinda liked it. The only POV that I didn’t really care for was Lawson’s but it wasn’t unbearable

this is nothing like anything i’ve read by elle kennedy before but i LOVED IT!!!!!! it’s so much darker than anything else i’ve read by her. i love all the different points of view and the tiny glimpses of side characters minds. i love the world she’s created- academia is one of my favorite themes. i really like RJ and Fenn and their relationship. and i can’t wait for Fenn and Casey’s story. speaking of….. that cliff hanger at the end!!!! gtg start rogue immediately now!
funny mysterious medium-paced

This book gave me gossip girl/ clique vibes, but the male version. I enjoyed it!

I loved the variety of POVs and the different cast of characters. Each had a unique voice and it became easier to understand each of them as their pasts and secrets were slowly revealed.

The romance and plot felt very high school and familiar in a good way. The asshole bully, the never caring friend, the stiff and secretive friend, the new kid who is resistant to the status quo and shakes it up… a comforting and enjoyable read.

The mystery aspect was something I wasn’t really expecting - trying to find the person behind the accident, what happened that night… an interesting additional plot and if the book didn’t leave me wanting the sequel already, that cliffhanger definitely did 👀
