Meh. It wasn’t that great. To slow for me personally & kinda predictable.

Hooked me! Love the role the title plays — I went into it thinking it meant that Erin was the killer, but to have Erin become like a sister to Lena is so much better. Heart racing during the last bit. Great murder mystery — not so complex as to be super confusing but enough that it takes you along for the ride.

Did end up with some loose ends & the ending felt kinda abrupt.

Aaah Kellye Garrett is back!!! I love her. This book is not as hilarious as the Hollywood series and in fact takes itself too seriously, especially in the beginning. But the mystery heats up and there's so many fun twists. And the relationships!! Beautifully done.

This was one of the better contemporary thrillers I’ve read. It didn’t go all weird with unbelievable twists. A girl is found dead and her sister doesn’t think it was an accident. So she looks into it on her own.

"Death was supposed to absolve you of your sins. Make an angel worthy of heaven's pearly gates.... but death hadn't absolved Desiree. It had only made it worse". "Like a sister" kept me guessing up until the end. This is a book full of twists, you are not going to be bored ever. I true page-turner. I loved the characters, both sisters were very charismatic to me. I felt for them. Even the secondary characters had an interesting backstory.

A little bit of a slower beginning but definitely kept me on the edge near the end. A very good ending and not what I was expecting at all.

Such a fast paced mystery! The main character, Lena, gets shit done. Ever feel frustrated about characters just not doing everything and anything to solve a mystery that’s important to them? You won’t feel that way in this book. Really stellar.

The ending and villain needed to have a bit more room.
