I liked this one more and more as I kept reading. In the beginning, I was unsure and I did not know how much I would like it. But, as the story began to unfold and more twists were revealed, I liked it that much more. It was definitely good, but I cannot put my finger on what was missing for me.

The writing style had no flow. I wanted to read the book but my brain struggles with choppy, short sentences. Also there’s something off about the descriptive writing I can’t quite put my finger on — like things are said and context added after, making it feel like your brain is constantly trying to back fill or catch up. This is the first book I’ve DNF’d because of the writing style and not because of the actual characters or plot.

This book was a decent read. However, I wasn’t that impressed with some of the plot holes, and at times the storyline had me losing focus. I also got really tired with repeated phrases and similes.

The more time I have to process this book, the less I liked it. The overall story was good and had some good twists, but there are some plot holes that never got closed and part of the storyline was taken from My Friend Anna which I found annoying.

This is the first thriller I’ve read that actually had my heart racing for the main character especially towards the end. I do like a good thriller read and I’ve definitely read some good ones that keep me on edge but this one tops all of them.

I was thoroughly invested until the very end and my heart broke for the FMC more than once.

Definitely recommend this read I loved it!
