This book is gripping and I was very pleased with how it portrays characters with traits and family dynamics not usually explored in books. Very enjoyable read and well worth the time, because it doesn't take long at all.

This provided a slow burn mystery that I didn’t realize I needed. There were a few times where I wish it wasn’t quite as slow, but that might’ve also been partially how my reading schedule played out this week.

There wasn’t any point in the story where I said, “Oh, I already know how this one is going to end.” My guesses were changing constantly, and were often wrong.

I enjoyed the family dynamics and the ties into the reality show and music businesses. It feels like a 3.5, but rounding up because the characters felt original and Lena made a pretty good detective by not giving up on her sister. Jury's still out on Erin.

not mysterious or thrilling actually. the twists were unexpected but also didn’t make a lot of sense to me.

Honestly, this one was pretty anticlimactic until the end.. Like yeah the twist was a bit unexpected since I had my own thoughts but overall I’m disappointed. I really loved Lena, though. And Aunt E. The writing was a little cringey at times too, a joke only works so many times..
