Vermakkelijk boek, maar ook een beetje fluffy romance.
It was a cliche storyline with a cliche execution. There are some books where you will know how the story goes, especially in the Romance genre, but will still be captivating because it was presented uniquely. This one was lackluster. I ended up skipping/scanning some parts because it was all too familiar. Kept putting it down because the excitement is not just there.

Great book! I love hockey romances they are my favorite. This was a great read that wasn’t too long. It was the perfect book for a nice couple hour read relaxing. Not knowing what happened to the letter was a little annoying but not bad. The smut was 12/10 very good. Overall great book and I just truly loved how short it was. It was short but told a great story. I will say unlike some other books they didn’t really go into the hockey part of it much. Really great book. 3/5

Absolutely love love love this book!! Laura is such a strong badass woman and such an awesome mama. Alec is a sexy hockey star. I love their history and they're story. And Jack is the Absolute best!!
dnf at 53%. i tried. love the trope but this one wasn’t for me. very wattpad-ish in the worst way possible. the things alec would say to her were just cringe and he literally called her a whore??? he punched a guy she was dancing with?? even tho they were not dating??? nah. there was no character building so i couldn’t get attached to them :/ it wasn’t the worst thing ever but definitely not good.

I really enjoyed it but second chance isn’t a trope I particularly enjoy all the time. I did like the book and felt that Jack and Laura’s relationship as mom and son were cute! The letter aspect of it was really nice for their relationship when they were in high school and I loved that it was tied to Alec and Laura’s ending! I did indeed cry in the last actual chapter and a little in the epilogue but overall this is a great book! Again, I just am not the biggest fan of second chance so there were parts that I didn’t enjoy as much but others would enjoy if they like second chance :)
couldn’t get over the fact that 1. She forgets she has a son half the time 2. When she’s trying to rekindle with her man who just found out he’s a dad she tells him I don’t want to talk about the kid I want it to be just us HELLO ????????? far more pressing conversations to be had before you enjoy your first date together
