Okay, such a cute stinking book!
Second chance romance always has a soft spot in my heart and I loved that there wasn’t the ridiculous back and forth before they got together. They fell back into old ways and Alec was able to love his son.

I didn't like it more than that. I expected much better for a first book about a romance with a hockey player.
In itself the story was cute and nice, but I found that it lacked development for it to be 100% coherent.
I found that everything was going quickly, that we didn't really have any substance? It would have been so much better if everything had been developed a little more!

This was a quick reading bc i couldn't make my brain read all of the details bc it was boring. No character development, everything was so rushed. The way she screamed at Jack's teacher? The coach blaming her after Alec's team lost the game? The way she reacts? After Alec came back, suddenly josh was let aside, no character development either.
It was a boring reading. I'm sorry.

The plot of this book was intriguing but I just didn’t feel like it was executed as well as it could have been. The couple didn’t have enough depth for me and the female lead just wasn’t my cup of tea.
I did love her friendships and I felt deep emotions for the situation with her mother.
