4⭐️ Holy shite. I cannot wait to see where this series heads. I want to preface, yes this is set in the same “universe” as ZA but in no way shape or form are they similar IMO. Never Keep felt so much more…Medieval? The writing of the twisted sisters felt more mature as well. I’ve read almost their entire backlog and this felt like new authors.

There is a LOT of action, like WAR action. Killing, maiming, you know the kind. Not a ton of romance but I didn’t miss it. The world building was slightly clunky as in my pea brain couldn’t figure out the map of this place, like the actual location not Never Keep. There was a lot of repeating of information I felt was unnecessary but all in all…gripping and fantastic.

Vesper is my girl. She’s a complete biotch and I’m here for it. Pink haired witch queen. I got slightly annoyed with Everest and her quirkiness but that’s ok. I need more of Kaiser. Yesterday. I’m so intrigued for the rest of the series!

Also the ending…true twisted sister fashion…dafuq? Why? Rude. I cannot with you two. CANNOT.
