When you know... you know. The book did not hook me.

3.5 - audiobook -

By the fourth chapter, I was completely hooked. I couldn’t wait to find out more. It’s a unique, well crafted story that keeps you engaged and wanting to know what happened.
I love the addition of the podcast. It was the perfect touch. It was unexpected and enjoyable. I definitely recommend this one.

As my first intentional YA thriller, I was relatively pleased. Plot points brought up, hinted, mentioned, described earlier in the story came full circle by the end.
The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because I wasn’t totally blown by the book but I was kept pleasantly invested throughout and am not disappointed by my purchase. Best thing is, this book had sprayed edges. So I had to get it.

Consideried giving this a 5 star but I guessed some things and it wasn‘t super innovative. A thriller has to really wow me to be a 5
However I read this in a day ( thanks to a long train ride) and holy moly the writing and the execution of this was immaculate! I will be reading everything Kit Frick comes out with!

This is def a 4.5 . So good

I was worried this would turn supernatural but it didn't and they managed to tie it all up more or less logically.
The plot was also something I haven't really seen before, which is a rarity with new mysteries.

The book Rebecca has been floating near my TBR for years, but this book made me really want to read it. I thought this was so much fun, and I was definitely kept guessing until the end. Everyone is kind of a garbage person, but I was cool with it. I did suspect
pretty early on about the fate of the friend who was "in Florida."
Just a fun ride.
