Apparently Peter Pan is inspired by a child who will forever be young because he is dead. Anyway, two stars in the rating are for character of Tinkerbell.

Peter Pan is a classic, magical fairy tale following the adventures of the Darling children who embark on an unforgettable journey to Neverland with the boy who never grows up. Neverland is a place where dreams intersect reality, where pirates, fairies, and mermaids roam, and where grown-up worries are castaway.
This is a fantastic fairy tale with layers - both children and adults can derive meaning and joy from it!
Peter Pan looks at the joy, innocence, and adventures of childhood that we adults forget, yet also notes that there is beauty and satisfaction in growing up. Barrie pinpoints the importance of maturing through Peter, who, because he is eternally a child, isn't able to empathize with others well, quickly forgets magnificent escapades and meaningful people, and is prideful and selfish. So, it is with bittersweetness indeed that we read of the Lost Boys and the Darling children growing up and the cycle of adventure continuing through Wendy's children at the conclusion of the story.

I was a little let down by this book. I guess for something that had been hyped up for my entire childhood, I found the book to be a little boring.
It was still fun to read though, and definitely had a few chuckle moments.

El libro simplemente no me gustó. Me pareció aburridísimo, no me gusto como estaba escrito, no me gusto Peter Pan (personaje). Es muy diferente a Disney, esta es más como la adaptación humana.
Seré opinión impopular pero me quedo miiil veces con la película animada.
Del libro solo me gustó Tinker Bell 🤷🏻♀️

i have to say it wasn’t really that good and definitely very old fashioned, the ending made me cry though but in a good way

Still as charming as the first reading. Such a unique and enchanting method of storytelling: seriously peculiar themes.
The puer aeternus holds less sway over me than it used to—having since moved onto other archetypal forces—but I will always cherish this paragraph from the end of the book: "There could not have been a lovelier sight; but there was none to see it except a little boy who was staring in at the window. He had ecstasies innumerable that other children can never know; but he was looking through the window at the one joy from which he must be forever barred."
