This series is so good, and I was waiting for Cassio King's story! He has been in the first two books, but I wanted to get to know his background and if he finds his soulmate. Who knew that it would be when she was 14 and he was saving her from a human trafficking ring? Taken with her beautiful eyes from the start, he had a connection with Aine. Now years later, she has taken on saving women from the King's trafficking ring and is focused on taking all the Kings down. When she bumps into Cassio though, she has no idea who he is, and why she feels so comfortable with him. He knows she will be his, but the question will be if she will want him once she finds out his name. It holds a lot of bad memories and need for revenge. Eva Winners weaves a story with the mafia families that has so many twists and turns, and so much emotional turmoil that it's important to pay attention! I loved it all, the incredible chemistry between Cassio & Aine, the struggle for revenge, the secrets revealed, the suprises and the true love added so much entertainment that I could not stop listening. Plus we get to see where Luciano and Nico's families' are now! It's the kind of romantic suspense that I love.
Karl Michaels and Penelope Anne Rose add to the story with a fantastic narration. Michaels gives Cassio that strong, alpha protective feel with his voice. He keeps him vulnerable when it comes to the Aine, keeping him real. Rose is a strong, rebellios woman, knowing her path, her feelings and what she wants to achieve. She keeps her heart guarded until she is sure, and though her circumstances, keeps her relatable. I enjoyed their performance.

Spicy spicy! I'm so glad another monster has been taken care of! I will say it got a bit repetitive going back in time and seeing things from each guys and girls' point of view. I still loved watching Cassio and Aine fall for each other. He was always her rescuer, and she is who belonged in his heart! This one was a bit more complicated because of the subterfuge and Jack being who he was. I will be taking a break from the series because I think Alexies book is going to go much harder and be more devastating than the first 3 so far.

The age gap gave me a scare in the initial pages. No offense but I found it so boring. Dnf at 50%
Penelope Ann Rose and Karl Michaels bring this story to life. The Belles & Mobsters series takes us on a rollercoaster of emotions through Áine and Cassio's story. Penelope captures Áine's fiery spirit and vulnerability, making us feel her trauma and strength journey. On the other hand, Michaels embodies the enigmatic Cassio, his voice oozing danger and protectiveness. Áine's skepticism, though at times annoying, becomes a real emotion through Penelope's narration. The chemistry between the characters is palpable in Michaels' voice, drawing us deeper into their complex mafia world with a moral code. While the pace may falter compared to previous installments, the duo's narration keeps us hooked. Despite its flaws, this audiobook remains captivating, leaving us eager for the next chapter in the series.
