4.02 AVERAGE

i thought after all these years and the space between books and for other reasons i wouldnt be so sad but here i am very heartbroken

PAIN

After a lifetime of darkness, I want to leave something behind that is made of light.

3 1/2 stars

Certainly not my favorite in the trilogy but a satisfying conclusion nonetheless.

One of the best series I’ve ever read. I loved the characters and the different topics, I loved that the main character was the villain. And finally, I think it has one of the best finales I’ve read.

Tears in this one

Who's cutting onions?!

This was enjoyable and a solid end to the plot. I found the ending bittersweet but fitting. I still struggle to connect with Marie Lu’s writing but I faired better with this series than I did with Legends. I enjoyed the random bits of myths and lore thrown into the mix.

Solid conclusion to the trilogy.

I like this one better than the second one but still I didn't felt a flavor. Adelina got everything she wanted but just like that everything is gone. I think i expected more character development, since i didn't felt like there was a lot - don't get me wrong I got to know Adelina as a character but still, i think there was so much left.

I already expected something like the end, so that wasn't a big surprise. The last page with the legend was nice tho.

I think what I missed more where more background information on the magic system, the religious, the gods and their powers, and the characters. A little more character development and this book would be so much better.
