Okay, cute!!

Another totally captivating novel by Tal Bauer. Only wish it wasn’t a stand alone because I feel like I will miss each of the characters very much. I could not put it down and read it in a day. It had so many twists that I did not see coming particularly in the latter half.
Many of my favorite story threads are incorporated that I love to see in this genre: two lost souls finding each other, found family, fated love.

I enjoyed this book. I only gave it two stars because it felt a little off in some places but I can’t describe why. The MC kept flowing in and out of French, and as a non French speaker, it got a little confusing. Overall, this story is cute and worth the read.

"Please let this be true. Please be certain. Please don't hurt me. Please, please."

I didn't know I needed to read a book with the couple dynamic this book had until I started reading this.
I ate it up🙂‍↕️

“Hi, I wear your number.” “Enchanté, I wear your number, too.”
I want to put them in my pocket🥺

Holy shit. This book is absolutely utterly fucking phenomenal and I cannot recommend it enough. This is one of those books that leaves you scrambling for thoughts at the end. It makes you feel something every single second of the journey. The writing is gorgeously poetic and stunningly heartwrenching. It made me want to fall in love the way Bryce and Hunter do, made me want a forged family the way the team is, hell it made me want to become a hockey fan. This book without a doubt earned its five stars and I will absolutely be devouring more books by Bauer.

I was very excited to read an MM romance written by a gay author. Unfortunately, this writer's style isn't for me.

It's hard for me to judge how much French a native speaker would use in a casual conversation with someone who doesn't speak French... but this felt excessive. Also, there were a lot of big emotions, but little explanation of where they came from.
