emotional inspiring lighthearted

I've read a lot of mm hockey romance lately and this just really fell short of what I was expecting.

This is going to be one of my top reads for this year I can already tell!

I’ve had Tal Bauer on my to read list for a while but I always got scared at how people said his books were so emotional! I thought they meant

“it’s going to emotionally damage you and there won’t be a happy ending”

 no they meant

“you’ll spend you whole life looking for love the way these two main characters love each other and will be grateful for a fraction of it”

This book is so…emotional I dont Know how else to explain it. The connection Bryce and Hunter share is so special and ugh

This book had me on the verge of tears for CHAPTERS at a time. The depth these characters have. The LOVE that exists in this book and not just between the MCs but also the love between the team members is so beautiful!

I cannot Wait to read more from Tal Bauer!

DID NOT FINISH: 60%

I dont know if this author consulted ANY French canadien from Quebec for the French in this cause…that’s not it at all. Coming from a quebecois , it was bad enough to keep me from getting into the story at times.

I was so swept away in this story. Tal always manages to do an exceptional job of balancing detail, story and romance, and this is no exception. The sports aspect of the story lives and breathes as its own character, pushing the narrative forward over the course of the season/book. The romance between Hunter and Bryce is so heartfelt. These two are just meant to be, and the way they seem to fit together both on and off the ice is effortless. The secondary characters are such a wonderful cast of friends and found family, you just want to be enveloped in their warm embrace of support and solidarity. I couldn’t have loved this one more!
