swoon-worthy and heartfelt

Oh my god???? I’m not doing well.

Amazing. Heartbreaking. Captivating.

Side note — someone gave this book a 4 star rating because of the lack of translation for the French used in the story. I have to say, it was quite easy to follow along. And when I didn’t understand, I simply looked it up. Done and done, and I have given it 5 stars which it fully deserves.

I adored the first part. Tal Bauer is a master when it comes to write lonely heartbroken dude. He nailed it. I cried so much, the hurt was real.
The second part is maybe a little too sappy for me. Specially because I am french so the French sentences made me laugh sometimes buuuuut I know non-French readers will love it more. Or find it less over-the-top and just 'romantic'. The plot of the second part is also very déjà vu, cause it is about the Stanley cup and you know they will win, so it was less griping.

One thing I wanted to say tho is that I never, NEVER read a book with such an amazing portray of hockey games.
The games and moment on the ice are perfection. You feel the cold, the warm, the sweat, the pain, the hurt, you feel everything like you were there, with them. It's genius, it's amazing, I adored it ! Tal is a great writer, nobody can say otherwise.

“I wear your number”

“Enchanté, I wear your number too”

— Hunter and Bryce

Gravity was a cute mlm hockey romance book, it’s targeted as friend-to-lovers but is it really? They meet for 3 days before the romance started happening so I’d rather label it as crush-to-lovers or maybe even strangers-to-lovers.

Overall the story was cute, no angst what so ever, just a whole lot of fluff and spice. Bryce and Hunter were so cute, their teammates called Bryce “Bunny” and when Hunter arrived they called him “Honey” because Bunny loved his honey which was honestly funny. To be honest I was more shocked no on said anything about “Bunny” and “Hunter” Bro prey and predictor for Petes sake. If you want a chill romance, this is it, it’s cute, quite fast pace, no angst just— they were adorable. To be honest they were so adorable it was kinda cringey BUTT they were kinda poetic especially Bryce, STOP TALKING TO ME IN FRENCH, but it was cute plus what he was feeling was just so cute. As for Hunter, I liked how he didn’t panic cause He found out Bryce was gay, no my boy panicked cause Bryce choose HIM. He could not believe Bryce would choose him so that was funny.

I do advise once reading this you need to read it on a device that has a translation option because they do speak a lot of French in this book and there’s so translation within the book, I basically was just translating it via BOOKS iOS translate. So yeah, I enjoyed,

Good, heartfelt story. I didn't feel like that Hunter liked Bryce at the beginning but I can see how serious his feelings were over time.

Heads up - There is a lot of French in this book. I had to translate a word/phrase about every other page lol.

Quotes:
Were all those days on the river, all the long and empty years when it was me and my loneliness, part of this path that led to him?

I wish I could place my heart and soul in your hands and live forever as close to you as I can be.

It's made from a meteor mined out of Quebec. Starlight that came to earth. Like Bryce.

There was one part of this that got me choked up and crying. If a book can make me cry it’s an automatic 5 stars.
