This read like it was written by a 13 year old on wattpad, which is unfortunate because I think it pulls a bit of weight talking about sexual assault and her talking about working through her trauma. However Nox just did the annoying alpha male possessive thing and everyone in this book incessantly talked about her like she wasn’t there (including her best friend). I think that might be part of her overall character development, but I seriously doubt it’s worth reading the next one.

This book felt like it was dancing around points. Characters were back and forth with their decisions. Ultimately there was no weight to the events, no emotional investment.

Pacing of their desire for each other was off. Felt very predictable. Urban. Not good at creating suspense or mystery about plot. Dialogue felt cheesy especially from MMC. Boring and not original
