Beautiful and concise. One of those to look and look and reread many times.

Frida Kahlo Una Biographia
5/5 stars

I adored this. It was gorgeously illustrated, about one of the most incredible women to walk this earth, and... 1,000,000,000 gold stars to me because it is the first full length book I've read entirely in spanish. This is a gold that I wanted to accomplish for years and I finally did it so proud of myself.

The language wasnt super complex in this one, i was already pretty familiar with Fridas story, and admittedly I still had to look up a few words, but nonetheless, I still did that shit.

In terms on the content, as a Latina, bisexual, feminist, disabled, creative-type woman, I stan anything that highlights the queen that is Frida Kahlo.

Would absolutely recommend.

This book taught me some things about Frida Kahlo that I didn't know. I liked the illustrations but it did just make me look up the real paintings therefore I think I'd have preferred the inclusion of some of her paintings instead of all illustrations particularly in the section that explains her paintings.
