still on the fence

This book took dark stalker to a new level for me. I understand that I’m probably not the target audience since I’m not big on pain, so I rated based on the writing. The story flowed pretty well and the characters had some depth to them, although their backstories weren’t explained beyond broad strokes. Maybe future books have more information, but without an explanation of Fyre’s past, it’s hard to invest in him as a character.

Spice: 3/5

Triggers: all of the triggers

Oh damn what a fantastic start to a new series from Logan this lady knows how to talk to my dark heart with her stories she always leaves me craving for more of her words. This book took me on one exhilarating ride after another I didn't want to stop reading. This is only the 1st book and boy was it all kinds of twisted up mess and hot as sin to. There are triggers so if you have any you might want to skip this, but I'd definitely recommend it if you don't then come meet Prof Gideon Fyre

Playing with Fyre grabbed me from the first page and kept me captured until the end.
Professor Fyre is teaching art to students who have been through something traumatic or are going through some crisis. He is teaching them to share what they are feeling through different art mediums and expressions. Charlotte is in his class, but she is stuck in her past.
I was so mesmerized by the story that I read it in one sitting, I couldn't put it down!
