The “monster” of this book is the same monster most BIPOC face every day and that was why I loved this book. Yes, it’s deeper than that but also it’s not. Also love a good mushroom theme.

"In a sense all dreams foretell events, but some more clearly than others."

One of my favorite books of 2021. The writing, the story, the characters, everything about this book made me love it. I was gripped from the start and didn't want to put it down (to the point where I was upset when I had to go to work because that meant putting the book down). If you've been thinking about reading this book, do it.
