Really very fun, and I loved the main characters. It did drag a bit, though and that is never a good feeling when reading. My first Sanderson!

This was the first of many Brandon Sanderson novels I will be reading. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was hooked from the first page. I heard someone describe this book and potentially the rest of the series (I’ll have to keep reading to find out) as a darker version of top gun but with aliens, and so far I have to agree. The action, the characters, the development, and most surprisingly the lack of romance made for a very intriguing story. I can’t wait for what’s to come!

this might be an unpopular opinion but i did not like this book at all. I think it was because I started reading this in the middle of a reading slump and i was not in the right mind set for a heavy sci-fi fantasy but i was B O R E D
