This was mostly a solid book. There were so many characters that I really loved and enjoyed and others that I wanted unalived from page 1.

As always Abercrombie's battle scenes are near flawless and he is one of my favorite authors to write fight scenes.

Where it fell flat for me was the number of characters and constant jumping back in forth. It worked incredibly well during the fight scenes but out side of them, it took such a long time to get a grasp of his story, which is usually not the case with his writing for me

Unfortunately, my least favorite from Abercrombie so far. A lot of the characters blend together. The stakes don't feel high. The battle scenes kind of drag on. But still an enjoyable read.
