I’m reading my way through the Lost & Found series and this is book # 1 by Natasha Bishop.

How can a psycho impact someone’s life like this.  He’s Eddie and he’s driving Ciara away from her family and home but little does he know he’s leading her to the capable hands of Lincoln.

I enjoyed this book would be considered romance but it included humor and suspense.  I will say that there were points that I was annoyed with Ciara but I probably needed to fully understand the horror she was going through.

I’m looking forward to Book #2

I don’t know this felt simultaneously very cringe and very boring. Lots of pop culture references (that were all notoriously bad takes imo and caused the characters to give me the ick lol. I think this is the danger of overusing pop cultural commentary to draw your characters. Readers have distinct associations and it can be jarring). I wanted to like it. I was somewhat invested in finding out about the FMC’s past and why she felt the need to run, but the introduction of the stalker’s POV was beyond strange for a romance novel. The romance between the MCs also felt beyond strange. Instant obsession for what? It didn’t feel like that normal spark of interest/chemistry. The MMC was having traumatic nightmares about the FMC a day after meeting her… like huh?

This is my first romantic suspense novel, and I can see the appeal. The romance and thriller elements are just about 50/50, which allows the majority of the tension to be external to the relationship.
When Nevaeh gets kidnapped my gut was in my throat.  I am so glad she was found perfectly safe, but it was weird sort of let down. Like we were waiting for the absolute worst, the  things are just fine, but not really of course.
The final showdown was super quick, but it definitely delivered what I was hoping for. I would have liked a bit more insight on the stalker, but I'm thrilled with their HEA. The epilogue is clearly setting up the next book, and while I enjoyed the writing style, I'm not sure if romantic suspense is my cup of tea. It definitely kept me turning the pages though!
