"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again."
This quote very aptly introduces us to the Wheel of Time, in the fantastic first book The Eye of the World. The Wheel of Time is one of the largest series in fantasy, this being book 1 of a whopping 14 books (+ 1 prequel). This means that the Wheel of Time can execute ideas and stories on a scope that most series can only allude to, never having the time to show the true depth of their ideas.

The first time I read this book I was 14 years old and the biggest book I’d read before this was Eragon. I dived right in and to be honest, although I enjoyed it, didn’t love the series at first. I was confused, didn’t connect to the characters, and just felt a little bit meh about everything. One year later, having read the Stormlight Archive, the Farseer Trilogy and many more, I re-attempted The Eye of the World, and absolutely loved it! Here is my review
