The "Puff in Bloom"/"Puffin Classics" edition is adorable and this book was really good.

The Secret Garden is my absolute favorite children's book, so perhaps my expectations going into this story were too high. I found the story superficial and so predictable that by the second chapter I had the entire story figured out. Sarah was an entirely unbelievable character in my opinion. Overall the story simply was too sappy for me. While I am a great lover of children's literature, this one will not earn a permanent spot on my shelves.

A beautiful book about compassion and empathy, 'A Little Princess' teaches its readers from all walks of life to appreciate what we already possess in life and strive to help others who are less fortunate. Truly a living definition of what a princess should be!

Es el primer libro que me leo en inglés desde hace años. Y tengo que aclarar que no es el libro completo, sino una adaptación que tiene pinta de ser recomendación de un instituto para la clase de inglés.

Me ha sorprendido y emocionado a partes iguales que después de tanto tiempo, haya sido capaz de leer el libro sin mucho contratiempo.

Espero que éste sea el primero de una larga lista de libros leídos en inglés 😄
